General Information
Etang Rendezvous was originally dug in 1941 as a shooting venue and has since become a beautiful lake surrounded by large mature trees and vegetation. In 2002 the lake became a fishery, with the current owners, Keith and Gareth taking it on in 2015.
It is set in open countryside, having no immediate neighbours and there isn’t a main road to be seen or heard – a perfect location for those who like their peace and quiet.
The venue is gated and secure, with comfortable lodges and all the amenities anglers will require for a week’s stay.
There are many reed beds, with shrubs and trees overhanging the water. All branches below the water line have been removed to facilitate snag free fishing.
Night fishing is permitted and no licences or permits are required.
Our Bailiff will be pleased to assist you wherever possible.
Fishing
There is 12 acres of water set in 17 acres of land, and with a maximum of 5 anglers this gives ample water for all those fishing.
The lake is fishable from all sides and there is an electricity supply to every swim around the entire lake.
The lake depth ranges from 9ft at the Dam wall to 2ft in the shallows, the bottom being mainly silt with gravel in the margins and shallows.
The current carp stock stands at approximately 270 mature fish, with the largest capture thus far landed in March 2025 being an immaculate 84lb common, backed up by three known 70's.
Bait
We allow the use of bait boats on the lake but they are not essential as all areas can be reached by casting.
We ask that you use a good quality bait at the lake. This is not only better for the fish, but will improve your results, as digestible baits will pass through the fish easily and quickly and they will want to feed again, rather than waiting on the bottom with bloated bellies.

Facilities
Etang Rendezvous is essentially a bivvy lake, although it does have 2 lakeside chalets located at the far end of the lake, which are independently wired for mains electricity and a separate toilet.
One chalet has an open floor area for bed chairs ,it also has a shower and wash basin. Please note that no bed linen or towels are supplied.
The other is fully equipped with free view TV, gas cooker, microwave, toaster, fridge and freezer along with table and chairs, cutlery, crockery, pans and glasses.
We do hire bedchairs and bait boats for those struggling with vehicle space.
There is good reception for mobile phones.
We require all anglers to be aware of the Lake Rules and the Booking Terms and Conditions prior to attending the lake. These are in place for your personal safety as well as the safety of the fish and failure to abide by the rules could result in the termination of your booking.
